Harper Family Connection
The following are ancestor photos from the 'Harper' family who are directly connected to the Burnell family.

David HARPER was born in 1817 and died in Hobart in 1909. He married twice. His first marriage was to Flora LIGGAT who was born in 1822 but she died in 1850 in Scotland. They had three children David, Robert and Elizabeth.
His second wife was Elizabeth BENNET who is shown with him in the photo below. She was born in 1816 and died in Hobart in 1887. They had four children Janet, Lawson, Duncan and Thomas.
David Harper arrived at Hobart Tasmania on 3 November 1855 on board the ship "James Baines". He brought his wife Elizabeth Bennet aged 39 yrs, and children David 18 yrs, Robert 12 yrs, Elizabeth 6 yrs, and Janet 1yr.
